Actors commuted from Montepulciano to their private villa some 20 min. beyond this fairytale town
PIENZA: This was just one of the many vistas the actors had to endure commuting back and forth in their hired Alpha Romeo or Lancia from Montepulciano (even MORE beautiful than Pienza) to their private villa some twenty breathtaking minutes beyond this fairytale town. After a grueling 10 or 12 hour day of shooting, the actors would arrive home to a roaring fire and dinner prepared by their private cook complete with casks full of the local wine.
